what's the difference between pairing and connecting my nica headset? |
| ▲ | Pairing is the Bluetooth process of initially associating your nica headset with your phone. Pairing is done once. Connecting your headset is required to receive a call audio in the headset. You must connect your headset to your phone if for some reason the connection between the headset is lost - for example if you moved the phone or headset out of range of each other. |

how do I connect my nica headset to my phone? |
| ▲ | Once your nica is paired to your mobile phone, you can connect nica by briefly pressing the answer button on the headset. Nica will also connect to your phone when you power nica on. Finally, you can connect to nica using the Bluetooth menu on your phone. When nica is connected to your phone, the blue LED will blink once every few seconds. If nica is not connected, the blue LED will blink twice every few seconds. |

how do I pair nica with my mobile phone? |
| ▲ | 1) Navigate to the Bluetooth setup menu on your mobile phone (this is located in the setup or connections menu). 2) Make sure nica is turned on by sliding the power switch to the on position. The blue LED should flash twice very few seconds. Now hold down the answer button until the LED flashes blue and red. The headset is now in pairing mode. 3) Select look for devices or add devices in the Bluetooth menu on your phone. 4) The phone will find nica and request a code - type in 0000 - nica is now paired with your mobile phone. can I switch between my headset and my phone during a call? |
| ▲ | Mobile phones typically provide a menu for selecting an audio output device during a call. For example, if your phone includes a speakerphone and also has Bluetooth, you can switch between handset, speakerphone, or the Bluetooth headset. Consult your phone manual to find this function on your particular phone. |

how can I adjust the headset volume during a phone call? |
| ▲ | You can adjust the volume using the + and - volume buttons on the headset. The volume buttons on your mobile phone also control the volume of the headset during a call. |

why do the blue LEDs on my car dock occasionally fade off? |
| ▲ | The blue LED ring on the car dock will automatically turn off after a few minutes if there is no motion or vibration in the car. A small percentage of cars have cigarette lighter jacks that are always powered (even when the keys are removed from the ignition). The LED time-out keeps the LEDs from needlessly draining the car battery. The LEDs will turn back on if the car dock is minimally vibrated. The nica headset will still charge even if the blue LEDs turn off. |

why doesn't the LED on my headset turn red when I place it on the charging dock. |
| ▲ | The red LED only illuminates when nica is charging. If the red LED is not on when nica is on a charging dock, the headset is fully charged. If you feel that the headset is not fully charged, then make sure the dock is plugged in to power. |
